Hindus have made remarkable progress from their earliest arrival to Mauritius over 200 year ago.  From times of great hardship, Mauritian Hindus today enjoy the fruits of the labor in establishing houses of worship, service institutions and cultural centers.  We are confident that under your renewed leadership, such peaceful progress and religious pluralism will continue to flourish.
