Hindu American Foundation Shares Grief in Virginia Tech Shootings

WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 19, 2007) – The Hindu American Foundation (HAF) shares in the grief of our entire nation as we mourn for the tragic loss of thirty-three lives on the Virginia Tech campus Monday morning. We convey in prayer, our hope that God will grant the affected families the fortitude and inner peace to carry them through this time of anguish.

That two of the dead included Hindu Americans, Professor G.V. Longanathan and Minal Panchal, brings ever closer home the utter senselessness of such carnage.

The Hindu American Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3), non-partisan organization, promoting the Hindu and American ideals of understanding, tolerance and pluralism.
