HAF Partners with White House and National Asian American Groups to Combat Bullying
Washington, D.C. (October 27, 2015) - The Hindu American Foundation (HAF) joined with Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) organizations from around the country to partner with the White House Initiative on Asian American Pacific Islanders (WHIAAPI) to promote a nationwide public awareness campaign to combat bullying.
The campaign, Act to Change, features a diverse coalition of supporters whose common goal is to combat bullying, especially in the AAPI community, and offers resources to various groups to address the issue.
HAF, a proud partner in the effort, will publish its first ever nationwide anti-bullying report early next year in conjunction with Act to Change.
WHIAAPI, co-chaired by Education Secretary Arne Duncan and Surgeon General of the United States Dr. Vivek Murthy and led by Executive Director Kiran Ahuja, is housed within the U.S. Department of Education.
